      You are welcome to join us this Thursday and Friday as we will be celebrating her life and saying goodbye to our dear friend and leader, Mrs Dolores A. “Dolly” Fidishun.



Dolores A. “Dolly” Fidishun died on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at St. Mary Medical Center. She was 79.

Dolores was born and raised in McAdoo, PA where she graduated from McAdoo High School in 1953. Formerly a resident of East Stroudsburg, PA, Oxford, PA and Georgetown, DE, she moved to Fairless Hills in 1963.

Mrs. Fidishun was the co-owner and operator of John’s Auto Tags and Driving School in Fairless Hills for 30 years.

Dolores was a member of Saint John the Evangelist Parish. She was a former long time church organist at St. Joseph the Worker parish and St. Frances Cabrini parish where she was a former CCD teacher. She also played the organ at the televised Masses on WPVI Channel 6.

In earlier years, Mrs. Fidishun was a girl scout and cub scout leader. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus, St. Joseph the Worker Council #4215 where she served as past president, and she was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Fairless Hills Fire Company.

Mrs. Fidishun recently celebrated 60 years of marriage with her beloved husband John M., Sr. She was the loving mother of Dolores (Al Labonis) of Warrington; Julianne Emerick of Fairless Hills; John M., Jr. of Levittown and Annette Frey (James) of Fairless Hills; She was the devoted grandmother of Jason (Kelly), David, Brianne (Brian), Danielle and Eric and great grandmother of Brian, Samantha, Maddison, Paige and Zachary. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Vera Hornick of Beaver Meadows and several nieces and nephews including Linda Quigley of Hazleton.

Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. and Friday 8:00 until 9:00 a.m. at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, 9:30 am at St. Frances Cabrini Church followed by Rite of Committal at Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
